We are and always have been family owned and run, with some old faces and some a little newer!

Phil & Debbie Goacher
Owners and Founders
Phil and Debbie started the brewery in 1983, when their hobby of home brewing became the day job, and a move to Hayle Mill was the start of Goacher’s Ales! More on the brewery’s history can be found here.
Howard Goacher
Brewery Manager
Being Debbie and Phil’s son, Howard has been a part of the brewery all his life, but involved with the day to day since 2012. You will find him dipping his hand in all aspects of the brewery.
Simon Hurst
Head Brewer
Simon has been brewing for Goacher’s for over 30 years, celebrating this with an anniversary brew in 2022, “Simon says – Hop back to the future”.
Alex Cook
Brewery Assistant
Alex has been with us since 2019. You may have met him out doing deliveries, but more often he is now found brewing.
Rhys Thomas
Brewery Assistant
Rhys joined us at the end of 2023, and is the friendly face you will see on the roads of Kent making the deliveries.
Becky Goacher
Administration
Becky joined the team officially in 2022, married to Howard, she has been a part of the brewery for much longer! Now she’s working behind the scenes to keep Goacher’s running smoothly.
